Stacy Budkofsky brings not only her professional expertise but also her deep, personal connection to the camp she’s called home for decades. A Long Island native, Stacy grew up spending her summers at Tranquillity from 1976 to 1991, rising through the ranks to serve as Girls’ Head Counselor. Her ties to camp span three generations—her father, children, and extended family have all been part of Tranquillity’s cherished traditions.
Stacy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Albany and a master’s in education from Adelphi University. Her background in psychology gives her a unique understanding of how children grow, build confidence, and form meaningful connections. Parents can feel confident knowing that under Stacy’s thoughtful leadership, Tranquillity is a safe, caring environment where every child is encouraged to cultivate talent from within, mentor others through leadership, and make unforgettable memories.
Stacy’s journey with Tranquillity didn’t end when her camper days were over. She has served on the Tranquillity Alumni & Friends Board of Directors for many years, including six as president. Her decades of teaching experience and leadership in the camp industry equip her to guide Tranquillity into its next chapter with vision and heart.
Her leadership reflects a profound commitment to honoring Tranquillity’s century-old traditions while embracing fresh ideas to meet the needs of today’s campers. Stacy is passionate about child development, mentorship, and fostering a sense of belonging. Her vision ensures that Tranquillity remains a place where youth can grow, connect, and create lifelong friendships.
